Biography
After beginning her medical studies at Moscow Medical Academy, she received her medical degree from Destiny University School of Medicine, St. Lucia and completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Khusid also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Rutgers University, and both a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University. Her strong clinical experience in integrative medicine was gained through extensive training at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Center of Education and Development of Clinical Homeopathy, and the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Khusid believes that individuals hold the key to their own wellness. She assists by offering medical expertise, encouragement and facilitating access to resources. Dr. Khusid also conducts community forums where she provides in-depth training in nutrition and fitness to help prevent chronic illness such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and certain types of cancer. In her free time, Dr. Khusid enjoys teaching, traveling, sailing and trekking through the Himalayas, the Alps and New Zealand.
